Sasha A. Watson
Associate
Sasha A. Watson received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Barry University in 2004, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and a Juris Doctor in 2007 from the Florida State University College of Law. Ms. Watson has also studied at the secondary and tertiary level in Jamaica and England, respectively.
During law school, Ms. Watson was a judicial extern to Judge Robert T. Benton, II at the First District Court of Appeal, where she analyzed issues on appeal; drafted and prepared drafts of opinions and orders and attended and observed oral arguments and judicial conferences.
Ms. Watson clerked at the Florida Office of the Attorney General, where she researched and prepared memoranda on various issues related to the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and the civil RICO Act; drafted pleadings, motions, and settlements agreements, and observed depositions, pre-trial conferences and settlement negotiations.
She also clerked in the corporate legal department of Bear, Stearns & Co. and in the Enforcement Division of the New York Stock Exchange Regulation Inc.
Ms. Watson was an active member of the Florida State University Moot Court Team; the Business Law Review, Article Editor; and the National Black law Students Association.
Ms. Watson lives in Orlando, Florida.
