Stacey M. McMillian
Partner
Stacey M. McMillian received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology
from Florida State University in 1993 and her J.D. with honors
from the Florida State College of Law in 1997. Stacey has been a
member of The Florida Bar since 1997.
Stacey has expertise in the areas of energy, communications,
information technology, and governmental affairs. Over the past
three years, she has served as General Counsel of Net Communications,
a specialized strategic consulting firm, where she represented
clients on legal, legislative, and public policy issues in the energy,
communications, and information technology industries.
Stacey's technology expertise has also been utilized for the
Governor's Information Technology Development Task Force. Stacey
worked as Managing Director of the Task Force where she formulated
public policy designed to ensure the technological advancement
of Florida's businesses and consumers and to build sound economic
development partnerships for the State of Florida.
Stacey has served as the Director of Florida's Digital Divide
Council, where she created the first ever statewide Digital Divide
Council Clearinghouse and managed the facilitation and implementation
of pilot programs that provided economic resources, training,
and technology access to members of society that lack these critical
resources.
Stacey's past experience also includes Interim Legislative Affairs
Director for the State Technology Office and Appellate Attorney
with the Department of Business & Professional Regulations.
Stacey currently serves as the Assistant County Attorney for
Gadsden County and lead lobbyist for Williams Wilson & Sexton,
P.A. She also practices in the areas of transportation law and governmental
and administrative law.
Stacey lives in Winter Garden Florida.
